Before beginning any project it is worth understanding how much an interior designer costs in Cheshire and how to prepare your brief before your first consultation.

Space Planning & Technical Drawings

Good interior design begins long before any material or furniture is chosen. It begins with understanding how a space actually works, or why it does not.

Space planning is the process of analysing how a room or a whole property functions. How people move through it. Where natural light falls and at what time of day. Where storage should sit without dominating. How rooms relate to each other and whether the current layout serves the way the household actually lives. This thinking happens before anything visible is decided, and it is the foundation on which every other design decision is built.

From the space planning comes a set of technical drawings, floor plans, elevations and sections, that document the design intent precisely enough for builders, joiners, electricians and other trades to work from. These drawings are not optional extras. They are the difference between a renovation that executes a clear vision and one that makes decisions on the fly and shows it.

Hada Interiors produces full technical drawing packages for every project that involves structural or layout changes, and works directly with architects and structural engineers where required.

Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment Selection

Every piece of furniture, every light fitting, every fabric and every material in a well designed home has been chosen for a reason. Not because it was the easiest option available, but because it is the right proportion, the right quality, and the right fit within the specific scheme it is part of.

Furniture, fixtures and equipment specification, known in the industry as FF&E, is one of the most time intensive parts of any interior design project. It involves researching, sourcing, specifying and coordinating the procurement of every visible element in a space, from major furniture pieces and bespoke joinery through to handles, textiles, lighting and accessories.

Gaby sources from a wide network of UK and international suppliers, including brands and makers not available to the general public. Every piece is specified with full dimensions, finishes and installation requirements so that delivery and installation runs smoothly rather than creating problems on site.

Custom Design Commissions & Luxury Procurement

Some of the most distinctive elements in a well designed home are pieces that were made specifically for that home and no other.

Bespoke design commissions include custom joinery such as fitted cabinetry, built-in bookshelves, kitchen units and bedroom storage, all designed to the exact dimensions and specification of the space they will occupy. Commissioned artwork, made-to-measure soft furnishings, and one-off furniture pieces from specialist makers also fall within this service.

Luxury procurement handles the sourcing and purchasing of high value items through professional supply channels, coordinating delivery, insurance, installation and any necessary site preparation. For clients managing a renovation remotely or simply preferring not to be involved in the operational detail, this service removes every logistical concern from the process.

Cost of our Services

Our design work is charged £96 per hour (£80 + VAT), with fixed project fees available for larger commissions.

Every project begins with a paid initial consultation at your home with Gaby — your opportunity to walk through your property, share your vision, and explore the possibilities together. Should you choose to proceed, your consultation fee is refunded in full against your project costs.

Following your consultation, we present a full written project proposal covering creative direction, detailed costings, and timeline.

“Gaby did a fantastic job designing the complete interior of our 5 BR house and her attention to detail is perfect. We were out of England for most of the time and Gaby basically did it all including managing tradesmen etc etc. We gave her some photos of interiors we liked and a budget and she delivered big style.

She organized deliveries and complete set up - hassle free. So much so she is now working on a small holiday Lett we have , refurbing a kitchen and general spruce up. We would highly recommend Hada Interiors and Gaby as she really does go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble.”

Bespoke Interior Design & Decoration

The full design service brings every other element together into a single, coherent scheme for a room or an entire property.

It begins with a proper brief, built from a real conversation about how you live, what you want the space to feel like, and what the property itself is asking for. From that brief Gaby develops a full design concept, presented to you before any purchasing or procurement begins, covering palette, materials, furniture layout, lighting, joinery and every other element that contributes to how the finished space looks and feels.

The design is then developed into detailed specifications, procurement is managed, trades are coordinated, deliveries are handled and the final installation and styling is overseen by Gaby personally. You are involved in every decision that matters and relieved of every detail that does not.

This service is available for individual rooms, specific floor renovations or complete whole home commissions, and is tailored to the scale and scope of each project rather than offered as a standard package.

Home Styling & Finishing Touches

The finishing layer of a well designed home is often what people notice first and find hardest to articulate. The way a room feels complete. The sense that nothing is missing and nothing is surplus.

Home styling covers the final curation of accessories, artwork, textiles, plants, books and objects that give a room its personality and warmth. It is the difference between a space that looks designed and a space that looks lived in beautifully. Gaby offers this as a standalone service for clients who have a well-furnished home that needs editing and refining, and as the final stage of every full design project.

A whole home renovation is the most significant interior design commission a homeowner undertakes, and it is the work Hada Interiors is most experienced in delivering. It involves designing and coordinating every aspect of a property's interior, across all rooms and floors, as a single coherent project rather than a sequence of individual decisions. The result is a home that works as a whole: rooms that connect, a palette that runs through the property, materials and finishes that have been chosen in relation to each other, and a finished environment that reflects the people who live in it rather than the accumulated choices of previous owners or previous phases of work. Whole home commissions are managed entirely by Gaby from the first home visit through to the final room.

Renovation and Extension Design

Kitchen extensions, orangeries, loft conversions, and rear additions are among the most common projects Cheshire homeowners undertake, and they are also among the most frequently under-designed. The structure gets built. The new space opens up. And then the question of how it should actually look and feel gets answered reactively, often with results that never quite live up to the potential of what the building work created. Involving a designer from the planning stage means the interior logic of the new space is considered before the first wall goes up. How the extension connects visually and materially to the existing house. How the light will move through it. What flooring and ceiling treatment will make the new space feel intentional rather than added on. Hada Interiors works alongside architects and structural engineers from the earliest stages of an extension project to ensure the interior vision is embedded in the design from the outset.

New Build Personalisation

A new build property in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, or Hale Barns arrives well built, well specified, and completely impersonal. The developer has made every decision that makes the property structurally sound. No decision has been made about what it should feel like to live there. New build personalisation is the process of taking a blank canvas property and transforming it into a home that belongs to the people who bought it. This means choosing a palette that suits how you live, specifying furniture that fits the proportions of the rooms correctly, designing bespoke storage that disappears into the architecture, and layering the textures, lighting and accessories that turn a developer finish into something genuinely considered.

Barn Conversion Interior Design.png

Barn Conversion Interior Design

A barn conversion presents one of the most rewarding and most demanding design briefs in Cheshire. The structural character is already there: vaulted ceilings, exposed timber frames, stone floors, original brickwork, and a scale that no conventionally built home can replicate. The design challenge is not creating that character but responding to it correctly, softening the industrial proportions for domestic living without stripping out the features that make the building worth converting in the first place.

Getting this wrong is easy. Furniture that is too small for the volume. Lighting that fights the ceiling height rather than working with it. Materials that feel suburban against stone walls that are three hundred years old. Getting it right requires a designer who understands how agricultural buildings behave as homes and how to make warmth, comfort and practicality coexist with something genuinely extraordinary.

Hada Interiors works on barn conversions across rural Cheshire, from the villages around Tarporley and Bunbury to the farmland between Knutsford and Macclesfield. Whether the conversion is newly completed or has been lived in for years and never felt quite right, the approach is the same: understand the building first, then design for the people who live in it.

Interior Design Consultancy

Not every project requires a full design commission from day one. Sometimes a homeowner simply needs a few hours of clear, expert thinking about a specific room or decision. The interior design consultancy service gives you access to Gaby's expertise for a focused session at your property, without the commitment of a full project scope. A consultancy visit typically covers a specific room or design challenge, an honest assessment of what is and is not working, clear recommendations on palette, furniture, layout or materials, and a practical direction for how to proceed, whether that is independently or with Hada Interiors involved further. Many of our whole home and room design clients began with a single consultancy visit.

Our design work is charged hourly, with fixed project fees available for larger commissions. Should you choose to proceed, your consultation fee is refunded in full against your project costs. All fees are agreed before any work begins.
